LAZYTOWN ALRIGHT

COME ON Sporticus!! You're a SUPERHERO for Gawd's sake! I asked you to PLEASE fix my Asko (Swedish for "Fooled You!) Dishwasher, and all you have done, is just stood there with your hands on your hips, with that stupid look on your face.....How hard can it be????? Now I know why you hang out in Lazytown....good for nothing, pretty boy. At least pick up a wretched wrench or something and try to at least LOOK like you're trying to do something!!! If I have to spend one more day with my arms stuck in a sink full of dishes - from morning to night it feels like - I may as well go and put Snow White's dungeon-scrubbing dress on...... Someone find me a REAL repair man, PUH-LEASE!!!!!

Too much CO2

The only problem with the shiny new, and very warm Tick,Tick Boom heater, is that it sucks all the oxygen out of the room (that explains my frequent blackouts whilst sitting in the lounge lounging). To counter this problem (albeit a small, insignificant one I admit) I have found myself a lovely Calathea (related to Anthony Calea perhaps?...) to provide us with some much needed oxygen. Isn't it lovely Peter Cullinal? Hope it doesn't die from heat exhaustion now.....(I DO like to have my rooms on the WARM side at this time of year)

What fridge?

My beloved Madam Secretary (from Kindy Committee), Chrissie and I were at Harvey Norman's today supposed to be purchasing a second fridge for the Kindy...but there were much more interesting things to check out, hey Febes?
We did manage to procure a lovely Fisher and Paykel number, and also managed to get the very nice man to knock $200 off the price AND deliver it to the Kindy for us.
Will have to go back and see what he can do for me re the John Deere mower for Febes.

Saturday night Concert Series

Saturday nights "In" during chilly weather are always welcome - but what a bonus to have the ballet and subsequent Rave Party come to our home....

Live entertainment

Sick days home from prep or kindy are USUALLY such a drab, boring affair...especially on wet, foggy, miserable days when you can't even sneak outside to play when mum's holed up in the laundry and not looking....but TODAY - WOOHOO!!! A big truck with hydraulic lifts arrived to collect the giant Skip filled with our demolished garage bits and other assorted rubbish.....finally, something to entertain us!!!! How very sad when it drove away, and the live entertainment was over for the day. Back to Sick Day Rules....ho-hum.

Caution CONSTRUCTION SITE

Wear your hard hard when visiting people.....

Down comes the old garage, and soon to follow will be the VERY large and VERY old shed behind it (Where I think Remy and his family from Ratatouille may be living) in preparation for the Airport Hangar Adan has selected as his shed of choice. After Cooloola Drive, where he had no shed to speak of, or even vehicular access the the back yard, Adan is clearly in "blokey" heaven now -or soon will be when the fellas from Titan arrive with the HANGAR.

I'm just happy to have my shiny new heater, and thick shaggy rug in my cave inside the house. Can someone start a roster to have food parcels delivered to the house please - I do not plan on venturing outside until September......

Tick Tick BOOM

Yes, the old girl may have a certain charm and looks lovely in the brick fireplace, but honestly, my toaster radiates more heat than this thing....
SO...

TA-DA!!! Our new Tick Tick BOOM Rinnai gas heater. REALLY wanted the recessed-into-the-fireplace-burning-logs-number (gas of course) but when we make the other side of the house the open plan lounge/living/dining we will have to put another fire place in there, so we will put the very beautiful and insanely expensive log-burning fireplace in then. For now, this little silver stallion is my new best friend. SO WARM!!! Finally, I can be warm in my lounge room (those reverse cycle air-cons are a CON - they DO NOT heat anything in a Toowoomba winter...)
Oh so toasty.....NOW Adan can go on his 2 week trip to Cape York with the Endeavour Rally boys.....I have my heater.
Anyone want to buy a lovely and charming little wood heater?.......

Cruising the harbour

Did a spot of boating on the weekend in our new boat, complete with new Life Vests (I SO wanted hot pink for mine....). Getting hard to find water up here to actually put a boat in though. We found some at Lake Cressbrook luckily. Can't wait till we move to the coast and can just moor our "launch" at our own personal jetty out the back....

On this Day

13 years ago TODAY!!!!

And how's this for bizarre....swapped our Anniversary gifts this morning and we had both given each other new coats! Neither of us had any idea what the other was planning - apart from being indicative of how chilly it is getting here in Woombie, perhaps we are actually sharing the one brain now as well......When we start to look like each other I'll start getting REALLY concerned.
