Not really much to blog today - I have been consumed by ElPresidente issues and up till midnight every night this week because of them. Today I am conducting interviews for staffing (Did you know I get to hire and fire!!!) and have been writing Selection Criteria, researching/ plagerising Interview questions, talking to DOCS, C & K, P & O, H.Q. , ASAP, SCUBA and any other ...oh no - mental blank - what's the word used to describe letters given to a series of words to make a new shorthand type word????Anyway - WHO CARES? So- my Interview Material is now prepared (I had to make 3 packs for each panel member). Have no kids at home today. Am VERY VERY TIRED because ALL 3 kids have been playing TAG TEAM between the hours of 12;30am and 3:00am EVERY SINGLE NIGHT this week, coming in to me with bad dreams, tummy ache, headache, lost teddy, "do I have a torch?", "Mum - is it Kindy tomorrow?" issues, and the late nights, ElPresidente tasks, and CONSTANT BROKEN SLEEP is really starting to BUG ME!!!! So, I am going lie on the couch, watch Pay TV, doze in and out of sleep, NOT do any housework (again) and have some much needed "Down" time before I have to put on my Power Suit, pop in the shoulder pads, slap on the heels, and with a splash of Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds, head off to interview the waiting applicants.
Now - about the photo. Adan picked these glorious numbers up during our trip to Sydney - persuaded not so subtley by Antonia Banderes, the Argentinian Polo Playing Demi God who served him (I even asked Adan in the change rooms if we could take Antonio home and keep him as a pet. He was LOVELY. Adan said no). We weren't sure if Toowoomba was quite ready for such progressive fashion footwear, but Adan bought them anyway. (It would have been really nice if Antonio carried them home for him) Aren't they spesh?!!!! If I was a boy, and no, I am not - I would LURVE a pair of shoes like that. In fact I would probably buy the same pair in a couple of different colours.....

Adan is seriously rockin' those shoes.
ReplyDeleteWhat colour belt do you wear with them ?
Antonio wanted desperately for Adan to buy the matching belt, but couldn't make it happen. Adan wore I think, black or dark brown (Not sure this goes myself...but then, I am NOT a boy)
ReplyDeleteMy father always said that the belt had to match the shoes...you know, the 'drapes match the curtains'.
ReplyDeleteFar out ..... I'm losing my touch. Right up until the end of the story I thought it was you in the shoes. I didn't know they were boy's feet. And farm boys no less! Adan certainly has come a long way. I think we may have loosened up the belt matching shoes rule recently. I think a nice pewter and rhinestone belt would do the trick with those puppies
ReplyDeleteKerry - do you still have the "Bedazzler"? Perhaps we could hold a craft afternoon (in the tradition of Tonia Todman) and whip up a "Project Runway" type- belt...???
ReplyDeleteDebe - I think this is your 50th blog - so congrats on that milestone !
ReplyDeleteboy - didn't that come around quickly!!
