Eccentricity rocks

No pic for this, but boy did I wish I had my camera with me. Out on a solo stroll today when this little old man comes riding toward me on his treddly - one of those with the dragster-esq handle bars that you have to reach up almost above your head to grip - and he was sporting a cowboy hat, with large Fonzie-like bike helmet fitted over the top, and safety goggles like the ones the man on Better HOmes and Gardens insists on wearing to measure timber planks, and high riding old man pants...and as he began to pass me he grinned a big toothless (completely toothless) smile and in a really squeaky (even squeakier than David Beckam) voice said "Gidday!!!!!" and pedalled past blissfully. Goodness, it made me so happy to see the dear old fellow so happy himself...and that lovely squeaky old man voice was the icing on the cake. If only I had my camera with me.......you really need a visual to believe it. I hope I meet "Squeaky" again one day. I will have my trusty Fuji with me next time.

  1. You didn't mention that you jumped aboard and that I doubled you home.

  2. Isn't it the worst feeling when a one-off photo opportunity passes you by !? My problem is that I would have been trying to take a self portrait with Squeaky whizzing by over the shoulder....
